Your system belongs to you.
This policy explains how the RedFox Android app (package com.chalebgwa.redfox) collects, uses, protects, and deletes information.
Information RedFox collects
- Account information: name, email address, Firebase user ID, and authentication credentials managed by Firebase Authentication.
- Content you create: routines, checkpoints, daily priorities, tasks, commute events, shutdown reflections, preparation state, and related completion or skip records.
- Accountability information: trusted-contact relationships, permissions, allowed time windows, and wake-ping delivery or acknowledgement records.
- App and device information: a Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token and basic technical information needed to deliver notifications, secure the service, and diagnose delivery failures.
How the information is used
RedFox uses this information to create and authenticate your account, synchronize your plans across sessions, show progress, schedule reminders, deliver wake pings you or an approved contact initiate, enforce contact permissions and cooldowns, protect the service, and respond to support or deletion requests.
Sharing and service providers
RedFox does not sell personal data, show advertising, or share data for advertising. Google Firebase acts as RedFox’s infrastructure provider for authentication, database storage, cloud functions, and push-message delivery. A trusted contact can access only the limited status and actions allowed by the permissions you choose. Information is disclosed when required by law or necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, or security harm.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Firebase access controls restrict private user records, and cross-user wake actions are checked on the server. No internet service can promise absolute security; use a unique password and protect access to your device and email account.
Retention and deletion
Account data is retained while the account is active. Choosing Settings → Privacy & account → Delete account and data permanently removes the Firebase Authentication account, user profile and private subcollections, trusted-contact references, and wake-ping records associated with that user. You can also request deletion on the RedFox account deletion page. RedFox does not intentionally retain deleted account content, though encrypted infrastructure backups may persist temporarily until their normal rotation completes.
Your choices
You can pause or remove trusted contacts, control their permissions and allowed hours, disable wake pings, change Android notification or exact-alarm access, sign out, and permanently delete the account and associated data.
Children and health
RedFox is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. RedFox is a productivity and structure tool, not medical care, diagnosis, crisis support, or a replacement for a qualified professional. The app does not infer diagnoses from your activity.
